At the end of this course, the students; 1) Have knowledge about the historical development of Medical Documents and Medical Documentation processes. 2) Knows Medical Documents in general use of Healthcare Service providers. 3) Learns to manage the Filing and Archiving of Medical Documents. 4) Learns the legal responsibilities during the production, preservation, service and disposal of medical documents. 5) Have knowledge about creating, using and controlling Medical Documents within the Total Quality Management System. 6) Have general information about the common areas of medical informatics and Medical Documentation processes. 7) Have information about the ways of accessing Medical Information. 8) Knows the systems of International Classification of Diseases and the basis of coding diseases according to the ICD system.
