LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Basic Knowledge of Materials, Basic Nano powder, rod and particle production methods.
2) Comprehends the properties of nanomaterials and research areas dealing with nanotechnology.
3) Usage Areas of Nanomaterials
4) Knows advanced materials and technologies, examines nano devices and their application.
5) Understands sizing concepts such as determining sizing criteria, micro and nano.
6) Analyze nano device and system design capability and future nano systems.
7) Understands the importance of lithography processes for electronic and sensor applications.

COURSE DEFINITIONWithin the scope of this course, students learn general information about the concepts of nanoscience, nanomaterials and nanotechnology within the scope of the Nanomaterials course. Gain knowledge about the production methods, usage areas and characterization methods of nanomaterials. In addition to traditional material processing techniques, it is aimed to provide information about the characteristics of materials, the examination of the behavior of nanomaterials towards temperature and pressure differences in the environment, and current issues in the field of materials science and engineering.
