At the end of this course, the students; 1) Measures the dimensions and profiles of gears 2) Measures screw threads 3) Adjusts tool, clamping apparatus and machine tools with learned measurement and control techniques 4) Determines whether the machined surfaces are within the specified geometric irregularity limits. 5) Defines surface roughness terms (Ra, Rz, Rt, etc.) 6) Measures shape and position tolerances of machine parts against a specific reference 7) Can shape and size gauges according to lapping types and gauges according to tolerances 8) Provides Surface Control with Gauges and Optical Glasses 9) Understands the comparative measurement techniques of machine parts, measures Angle and Angle divisions

Within the scope of this course, students acquire information about Measurement and Control. Processes such as measuring materials and checking manufactured materials are covered throughout the course. Within the scope of the Measurement and Control course, students learn the basic units of measurement of materials and receive basic information about taking measurements from produced materials and how quality control and assurance studies are carried out.
