LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Can measure dimensions
2) Can measure screw threads
3) Can use techniques of measurement and control, mounts brackets and machine tools
4) Can determine whether the processed surfaces have geometric irregularities in terms of surface
5) Can mesasure tolerances particular shape and positioning tolerances of the machine tool according to datums
6) Can use gauges and surface control with optical glasses
7) Can measure with using comparative techniques

8) Can measure angles, temperaments
9) Understands the comparative measurement techniques of machine parts, measures Angle and Angle divisions

COURSE DEFINITIONWithin the scope of the Measurement and Control course, students learn the basic units of measurement of materials and get basic information about how to take measurements from produced materials, quality control and assurance studies.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Principles and learn the usage of various comparators.
2nd Week Knows and uses the working principle of the optical projector.
3rd Week Angle and Angle Measurement of temperaments.
4th Week Determination of Shapes and Positions. Calculates the total (cumulative) shape and position error by using statistical methods to determine the shape and position.
5th Week Mitre and Feeler gauge (liner), the comparator with the autocollimator measures a surface perpendicular to the reference surface.
6th Week Identifies the wavelengths of incident light interference. Optical glasses with the flatness and interference lines control.
7th Week Principles of Exercise and screeding. Feather edges and the border manufacturing systems, knows the limits and principles of practice learns.
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Track gauges resizes tolerances.
10th Week Surface completeness
11th Week Testing of machine tools.
12th Week Measurement of the gears.
13th Week Caliper, micrometer applications
14th Week Methods of calibration
