COURSE DEFINITION
Purposes of special steel production, production technologies and production reasons. Heat treatments of special (super alloy) steels, alloying element additions and their effects on the properties of steel. Double-phase steels (Double-phase heat treatment techniques and formation of double-phase steels, production methods and continuous production technique, properties of texturizers in double-phase steels, factors affecting mechanical properties and microstructure-property relationships. Double-phase steels that provide weight savings in vehicles, used in the automotive industry properties expected from materials, the relationship between vehicle weight and fuel consumption, materials that can be alternatives to dual-phase steels, Microalloyed (High Strength Low Alloyed) steels, (Features of microalloyed steels, microalloying, hardening mechanisms in microalloyed steels, production stages of microalloyed steels, general application areas).
