At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understands the appearance of the Turkish economy in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire and the first years of the Republic.
2) Learns the processes of statist economic policies.
3) Comprehends the situation during the war years and the first industrialization moves.
4) Learns the phases of the Turkish economy and the effectiveness of the implemented policies.
5) Have information about Turkey's economic and commercial situation with the European Union.

| COURSE DEFINITION | Information about the current situation of the Turkish economy, along with its distant and recent history, and the economic communities that should be taken as reference in order to have a better economic information are mentioned. In addition, the economic and commercial relationship and interaction between Turkey and the European Union are discussed. |
