LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the basic concepts of computer networks. 2) Learn OSI and TCP/IP levels. 3) Learn Hub, Switch and Router devices. 4) Learn Layer-2 and Layer-3 Ethernet switch configuration practically. 5) Learn Wireless communication topics, Access Point and Controller configuration.

COURSE DEFINITION	Computer networks topology, Cables and connectors, Ethernet frame structure, Ethernet working principles, Power over Ethernet (PoE), Multi Gigabit Ethernet, Media Converter, OSI and TCP/IP layers, Network connection devices (hub, switch, router), Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch configurations, Wireless communication.
