At the end of this course, the students; 1) Acquire knowledge of family and couples functioning, and effects of culture and on family. 2) Learn different family and couples therapy approaches and their main assumptions. 3) Learn similarities and differences between different family and couples therapy approaches. 4) Learn how family and couples therapies are utilized in different problems. 5) Develop their knowledge on psychotherapy process in family and couples therapies.

COURSE DEFINITION | The aim of the course is to gain knowledge of family functioning, systems that make family and effects of culture on family. Within the scope of the course students are expected to learn family therapy approaches and their main assumptions, similarities and differences between different family therapy approaches and how family therapies are utilized in different problems. Furthermore this course also helps the students to develop their knowledge on psychotherapy process in general. |
