LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) have a chance to apply the theoretical psychotherapy skills they learned with one client. 2) Can do a psychotherapeutic intake interview. 3) can pick up the nonverbal messages of the client. 4) can specify the assessment procedures needed fort his case. 5) can apply these procedures and interpret them. 6) can make a case formulation and make a treatment plan. 7) can share this case formulation with the client and convince him or her for collaboration. 8) can make good choices for the homework they will give the client and follow the given homework: 9) They can summarize the sessions at the end and keep functional records.can form a good therapeutic relationship with the client. 10) can be mindful of their own bodily, emotional and cognitive responses and can regulate them. 11) can get the necessary feedback from the client and monitor the therapy all through the sessions. 12) can monitor the session duration, the number of sessions necessary and can end the therapy in an appropriate way.

COURSE DEFINITION | The course can be conducted by supervisors, who have either a Ph.D. or a Master?s degree in Clinical Psychology, and who have been conducting psychotherapies for at least 5 consecutive years of the last 10 years of work. In this course the student works with one client and conducts, under supervision, at least a 12-session psychotherapy program of a certain type, chosen by the supervisor. The supervisions can be carried out weekly, either individually by the student or in group format with 3-5 students, each student being supervised for at least an hour. |
