LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) They can explain, discuss and make project proposals the definition of blockchain, its technical structure, in which scenarios it is needed.
2) They can explain on which platforms Blockchain is developed, the minimum systems and components needed for its development, and show examples. They can explain the Distributed Data Architecture and determine the roadmap for determining the need in this regard.
3) They can explain how data is encrypted/decrypted with cryptography, and they can explain and show examples of the trust mechanism in blockchain.

COURSE DEFINITIONWith this course, you will have a deeper understanding of distributed innovation; Blockchain, and you will have a better understanding of its applications and acceptable use cases together with the most suitable platforms. The most important criteria in designing the course are the production of realistic and best strategies about Blockchain and whether a Blockchain Project is really needed. It is to provide experience in professionalism that will determine the evaluation criteria for the decision of not to be absent.

1st Week Introduction to encryption. Cryptographic hash function. Merkle tree. Digital encryption. Public-Private keys.
2nd Week Cryptocurrency history. Cypherpunks. Activists using encryption. Pre-Bitcoin alternatives. Output of bitcoin. Milestones of Bitcoin and Block chain.
3rd Week An overview of blockchain technology. What is Bitcoin and Blockchain? Operations-Blocks-Hash functions. Reconciliation. Verification of the blocks. Block chain types.
4th Week Block chain working mechanism. Peer-to-peer network and accounting book. Allowed / unauthorized accounting book. Registration of transactions. Transaction pool. Blocks and Chain. Hash pointers
5th Week Settlement setup / protocols. Proof of Labor (PoW) Segwit and Forks. Anonymity, Nickname.
6th Week Mining details. Proof of labor (PoW) Mining analysis. Prize money. Mining and game theory. Mines. CPU / GPU performances
7th Week Block chain 2.0. Smart deals. Ethereum. Block chain platform. Casper. Proof of stock (PoS)
8th Week Midterm
