1) Are able to prepare documents using a high level word processing program
2) Are able to format, tabulate and graph data using a high level spreadsheet program
3) Gain ability to write formulas, work with functions, and perform calculations using a high-level spreadsheet program.
4) Are able to create and use macros
5) Are able to prepare presentations using the presentation program with the upper level

COURSE DEFINITIONThe Advanced Office Applications course includes detailed learning of word processing, presentation and spreadsheet programs that are required in today's office environments and that will enable students to have sufficient knowledge in these environments. In this course, the use of MS Office Word, Powerponit and Excel programs will be explained practically.
COURSE CONTENTS

1st Week Introduction to the Course - Current application programs introductions and installations
2nd Week MS Word intro - add tabs, groups and command buttons, footnote, tag, source, citation, bibliography, table of contents
3rd Week Creating new styles, using built-in header styles, review, track changes, print
4th Week Create custom bulleted lists, add checkboxes and text, template creating and working with templates-Application I
5th Week MS Excel input-data and table concept, accurate and fast information entry, modification, conditional formatting of data, special selection and paste techniques, page structure, printer output settings, special views
6th Week Creating charts, changing options and working with multiple charts - Practice II
7th Week Relative and absolute addresses, arithmetic operations and functions in Excel.
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Using logical functions, searching for values in a data list, conditional statistics, descriptive statistics, random number generation, formula checking, tracking changes,
10th Week Creating pivot tables (Pivot table)
11th Week Scenario management, goal seeking, identifying and solving a problem using the solver - Practice III
12th Week Creating and running macros, introduction to macro programming - variables, definitions
13th Week Condition Structures and Loops - Practice IV
14th Week MS PowerPoint - Professional Presentation Preparation Techniques
