LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will have knowledge about fundamental concepts of businesses and their role in economic system
2) Will be able to explain and analyze types of businesses, internal and external environmental factors and their influences on business enterprises.
3) Will be able to explain set up process of a new business entity, various merger, integration and collaboration strategies applied by the business entities.
4) Will be able to define the functions of business, describe the relationships between each function and explain the process of those functions as a whole.
5) Will be able to describe management functions, organizational structure and managerial process.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe following information about businesses, which are considered as the basic elements of the economic system is given in this course: the objectives of the enterprises, the income and expenses of the enterprises, the types of enterprises, the establishment and work of the enterprises, the organizational structures and management functions of the enterprises, the role and relations of the enterprises in the economic system, current developments in business administration.
