COURSE DEFINITION	Aim of this course is to introduce documentary with its all different forms and characteristics as well as making the students experience all the production steps of documentary. The main titles that will be coverd in this course are: documentarist, definition and aim of documentary, documentary types through their production and component properties, subject selection, research, narration forms and script, production schedule, production steps, budget and budgeting.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Definition and aim of documentary 2nd Week Documentary film maker, ethics in documentary, mission and importance 3rd Week How to find a subject, process of establishment of a project 4th Week Production steps, research, project?s subjet to be determined 5th Week Project file; proposition, synopsis, script 6th Week Documentary script, narration forms, project research report 7th Week Producing and financing a documentary 8th Week Mid-term 9th Week Production, shooting check list, crew and public relations 10th Week Interview, preperation, shooting and after the shooting 11th Week Documentary Narration: Camera, camera movements, composition, sound 12th Week Shooting status report 13th Week Shooting / Editing 14th Week Shooting / Editing 15th Week Pre-screening 16th Week Screening of films.
