LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explains computer architecture and working logic 2) Explain the concepts of computer hardware, software and communication networks 3) Uses MS office application (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) software effectively 4) Defines the basic concepts of computer networking 5) Defines the basic concepts of the common language that enables communication on the Internet. 6) Defines business information systems and their types

COURSE DEFINITION	The aim of this course is to present the main principles of information systems and technologies by considering the historical and evolutionary development. The course includes computer terminology, hardware, software and communication networks, current application software and innovations in information systems.
