LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know the concept of demography and basic demographic definitions. 2) Learn and applying the demographic events and their formulations. 3) Comprehend the survival models and constructing a model. 4) Know and applying the parametric and non-parametric survival models. 5) Learn and applying the life tables and their usage in insurance sector.

COURSE DEFINITION	This course covers basic demographic definitions, concept of demography, demographic events and their formulations, survival models, parametric and nonparametric survival models, life tables and their usage in general insurance work.
