At the end of this course, the students; 1) Acquire theoretical knowledge about ART markets and practice of ART systems. 2) Learn about Captives. 3) Gain information about the practical functioning of catastrophic bonds and catastrophic swaps. 4) Gain information about the practical functioning of weather derivatives.

COURSE DEFINITION | In this course, Alternative Risk Transfer Markets and Classification, risk bearers in this market, ART methods will be discussed. In addition, Capital Market Transactions and Securitization will be mentioned. The structure of Catastrophic Bonds, Insurance Derivatives, Catastrophic Options, Catastrophic Swaps and Weather Derivative instruments as well as their applications will be explained. |
