LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Recognize the instruments used in oral and maxillofacial surgeries. 2) Perform the correct positions of the patient and physician during oral surgery. 3) Perform local anesthetics administration procedures. 4) Simulate maxillary tooth extraction techniques. 5) Simulate mandibular tooth extraction techniques. 6) Recognize the concepts of incision and flap. 7) Count the suture materials and suture techniques. 8) Simulate the surgical tooth extraction techniques.

COURSE DEFINITION | Indication and contrindication of tooth extraction, anixiety and pain control, basic tooth extraction methods, intraoral flaps, surgical extraction, extraction complications, impacted tooth extraction and apical resection are discribed. |
