LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) History taking 2) Perform a detalied clinical examination 3) Provide radiographic indication, take and interpret intraoral radiographs following dental, oral and medical history and examination 4) Formulate and present to the patient an initial dental treatment plan based upon the dental, medical, personal, and diagnostic factors 5) Obtain and interpret dental and medical consultations 6) Prescribe drug therapy for prophylaxis, pain control, and oral disease 7) Diagnose or eliminate oral etiology in patients with head and neck complaints and decides on the necessity of further investigations 8) Diagnose or recognize oral complications of oral diseases, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, cancer therapy or immunosuppression and guides for treatment

COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week To examine the patients, to take and interpret intraoral and extraoral radiographs including panoramic, lateral cephalometric, posteroanterior, handwrist, periapical, bitewing and occlusal radiographs, to define the anatomical landmarks on panoramic radiographs, to perform the dental treatment planning 2nd Week To examine the patients, to take and interpret intraoral and extraoral radiographs including panoramic, lateral cephalometric, posteroanterior, handwrist, periapical, bitewing and occlusal radiographs, to define the anatomical landmarks on panoramic radiographs, to perform the dental treatment planning 3rd Week To examine the patients, to take and interpret intraoral and extraoral radiographs including panoramic, lateral cephalometric, posteroanterior, handwrist, periapical, bitewing and occlusal radiographs, to define the anatomical landmarks on panoramic radiographs, to perform the dental treatment planning, to perform a case presentation
