At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn and practice correct periodontal instrumentation and patient positioning and operator?s posture during periodontal treatmentLearn and practice correct periodontal instrumentation positions for physician and patient 2) Learns periodontal tissue examination 3) Knows the purpose of use of the mirror 4) Learns and applies the use of periodontal probes 5) Collects periodontal data on the on typodont and manikin, creates a periodontal index form, analyzes and interprets existing data 6) Learns and applies the use of calculus scalers and curettes for calculus removal and root surface corrections cleaning without causing any damage to the tissues. 7) Knows how to use hand tools for upper jaw right and left areas 8) Knows how to use hand tools for lower jaw right and left areas

COURSE DEFINITION
The goal of the course is to prepare the student for the complex task of performing periodontal procedures on a clinical level in the light of principal periodontology knowledge.
