LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Definition of the infection and the infection control
2) Determination of the correct pharmaceutics fort he case
3) Definition of the oral health epidemiology
4) Comprehension of the clinical and radiographic finding of the oral region, head and neck pathologies
5) Defining the oral mucosal pathologies and differential diagnosis
6) To learn the diagnosis and treatment of bacterial diseases in the oral region.
7) Analysis of pain in the craniomaxillofacial region and learning the concepts of dental pain and pain mechanism
8) Learning the types and diagnostic criteria of maxillofacial traumas

COURSE DEFINITIONDENT319 Definition of the oral and maxillofacial, head and neck area infection in addition to odontogenic and non-odontogenic infections, preventive methods and treatment modalities DENT321 Evaluation of the effect of the community health and habits on the oral health. Collecting data and using them with proper scientefic research techniques to improve health and prevent from the diseases DENT332 Oral and maxillofacial pathologies, benign and malignant lesions, their etiologies as well as the clinical and the radiological findings are defined. Possible differential diagnosis, biopsy and treatment modalities are described. DENT341 The committee covers the basic diagnosis and treatment of pathologies in the oral region. DENT351 It covers the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system structure in the mouth, teeth, jaw, neck and face region, the pain and pain mechanism in this region, and local and systemic treatment approaches in the treatment of pain. DENT360 It covers the learning of diagnosis and treatment methods of maxillofacial and dental traumas and the treatment of complications that may occur.
