LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Define the basic concepts of macroeconomics. 2) Interpret real world events usıng the ability of macroeconomic analysis and the basic tools of macroeconomics. 3) Illustrate the relationship between the basic macroeconomic concepts both graphically and mathematically. 4) Develop a solid understanding of causal relationships in the theoretical models of the field. 5) Analyze and interpret the basic theoretical relationships in the data related to the field.

COURSE DEFINITION | We will be particularly concerned with the determinants of national output, unemployment rate, price level (inflation), interest rates, money supply and balance of payments, and the role of fiscal and monetary policy. Introduces the basic models of macroeconomics and explains the principles with the experience of Turkish and foreign economies. |
