COURSE DEFINITIONReal-time system architecture. System modeling and design: data flow diagrams, finite state machines, petri nets. Real-time operating systems: kernels, interprocess communication, memory management, sample systems. Timing and resource management in real-time systems. Real-time programming languages. Real-time communication protocols. Distributed systems.
