COURSE DEFINITION
Literary texts are one of the most important mediums in which essential problems regarding human existence have been revealed since ancient times. When the symbolism contained in these texts is interpreted correctly, it will be seen that the human problems, which have been examined since ancient times, are still up-to-date. People experienced similar thoughts in the tragedies in Antiquity and in the novels in the 19th century. Nowadays they come across these thoughts in cinema, one of the dominant cultural texts of our age. In this course, the symbolism in literary texts and cinema will be revealed in depth and a relationship will be established between these texts.
