LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Have the basic knowledge of methods and techniques related to cinema.
2) Have the ability of transferring his/her knowledge about cinema to a film product, can draft a creative product.
3) Learn to work as a team member whil planning the product.

COURSE DEFINITIONStudents are expected to realize their short film project proposals (including documentary, experimental and making of videos) created in Short Film Production I. This semester is organized as a step-by-step production journey through three major steps of film production: Pre-production (crewing up, shooting plan, script breakdown, choosing the cast, location scouting etc.), Production (shooting, directing actors, continuity, regie etc.) and Post-production (editing, sounc mixing etc.). The course focuses on the process from script to screen. The learning process centers around the student's own ideas and works. The course expects the students to realize their short film projects, design their publicity materials and encourages them to submit their work to film festivals.

2nd Week Fılm grammer: Space frame relatıon.
3rd Week Fılm grammer: Camera as the narrator.
4th Week Fılm grammer: Edıtıng as the storyteller.
5th Week Fılm grammer: In between scenes: transıtıons.
6th Week Fılm grammer: Iconography.
7th Week Fılm grammer: Sound desıgn and soundtrack.
8th Week Mıd-term week
9th Week Concept development: Short ıs good.
10th Week Concept development: Do you have a story to tell? On idea creatıng.
11th Week Concept development: Wrıtıng a short fılm scenarıo.
12th Week Concept development: From ıdea to paper.
13th Week Concept development: How to prepare a project proposal.
14th Week Review.
