At the end of this course, the students; 1) Recognize communication instruments as texts and those to be analysed. 2) Learn to use methods, limits and scope of various textual analyses. 3) Learn how to analyze "text" in general and a selection of specific genres - such as news, sitcoms, photographs, advertisements, or films - in particular with different textual analysıs theories.

COURSE DEFINITION
The course will critically examine the concept of 'text', which is perceived as an entity that emerges in the background of the oscillations of science, literature and art approaches and is increasingly produced in every section of the living space. For this reason, the course aims to examine and analyze written and visual text types such as poetry, novels, photographs, advertisements and films.
