At the end of this course, the students; 1) Have basic information about Occupational Health and Safety, in this context, knows important definition and concept. 2) Learn the historical development of OHS, development in the world and in Turkey. 3) Have information about national and international institution and organization and important organizations in the field of OHS. 4) Have sufficient knowledge about legal norms and binding contracts within the scope of OHS. 5) Learn the safety culture and the content of the safety culture and the measure to be taken for the development of the culture. 6) Know the precaution and application methods to be taken against danger, risk and risk factors (biological, physical, chemical, psychosocial and ergonomic). 7) Gain knowledge about the concept of work accidents and occupational disease and the measures taken. 8) Gain knowledge about collective and individual protection policie (PPE). 9) Have information about Emergencies and measures to be taken in emergency situations (earthquake, flood, storm, etc.).

COURSE DEFINITION
Course focuses on the basic theoretical information of occupational health and safety, basic legal arrangements on OHS law in Turkey; especially duties, competencies and responsibilities of the communications sector employees, gives information about occupational accidents and occupational diseases in the communication sector, their causes, results and prevention.
