LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will know the process of creating advanced videos geared towards carrying mediums
2) Will be able to design materials in 3D and 2D environment
3) Will be able to produce projects that are aesthetically complementary and geared towards their chosen medium and target audience

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course contains advanced digital image editing methods in computer media. In this course, the students learn to create moving image, digital background settings, motion timing, and work in 3D environments using camera and lights.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Introduction, general information on course content
2nd Week Comprehending and processing motion picture and sound production practices; importing different elements, composition settings
3rd Week Working with different tools in the program; keyframes
4th Week Utilizing different elements within the program. In-class exercises. Project: Kinetic Typography; initiating the project, analyzing samples and concept research
5th Week Motion graphics practices: keyframe interpolation, easy ease, motion path, graph editor. Project: Kinetic Typography; choosing the audio/audio to be used
6th Week Working with project, sound files, rendering a Project
7th Week Presentation of intro project drafts.
8th Week Midterms
9th Week In-class exercises. Parenting, hierarchy, null object, expressions, Adjustment layers, text animation, working in 2D and 3D
10th Week Use of in-program details; lights and camera. Rotoscoping.
11th Week Project: Creation of an Intro for film or series, research, analysis of examples, and concept research
12th Week Project: Creation of an Intro for film or series: finding the audio/music file
13th Week Project: Creation of an Intro for film or series aphy: first draft
14th Week Last draft, critiques
