At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will learn the process of editing image and sound in computer environment geared towards carrying digital mediums 2) Will gain the ability to edit, implementing the aesthetic and technical principles of editing 3) Will apply these principles in order to create and produce related outputs that are geared towards their chosen medium and target audience

COURSE DEFINITION
This lecture includes the methods of processing and editing digital images and sounds on computer environment. The students learn to prepare a composition with still and animated images, do editing, and manage the manipulation and synchronization of images according to the sounds and effects.

Introduction: Scope and objectives of the course.

History of motion picture and video production formats
3rd Week
Image production methods and editing (Introduction to the program, interface)
4th Week
Shooting techniques, various montage applications, transition between videos and synchronization. (Digital editing.)
5th Week
Creating titles, using the motion panel, filters. Midterm Project Brief
6th Week
Working with sound files. Saving and export of a project.
7th Week
Midterm Project Feedback

Digital editing, Masks, greenscreen and compositing.

Montage, post production, editing, stabilization, color

Final Video Project: Project initiation and background research
