1) Realize the ideology in the way mainstream media handles the news.
2) Understand what the news includes and excludes.
3) Detect the factors concerning represantion, ideology and power when he reads/watches the news.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course focuses on the history of journalism, the journalists as professionals, the news production in the neoliberal era, news-reality relationship, ideology, power and language in news texts.
