LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Development of Human Rights Thought in Europe, 2) Fundamental rights and freedoms in the ECHR, 3) Have sufficient legal knowledge and analysis skills about the judicial system of the ECtHR.

COURSE DEFINITION	In this course, the human rights protection system established within the Council of Europe will be examined. In this context, the establishment purpose of the Council of Europe and the European Convention on Human Rights will be explained. In particular, the decision of the ECtHR will be examined and the trial and working procedures of the ECtHR will be emphasized.
