LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the characteristics and historical developments of maritime law. 2) Learn the nationalities of ships. 3) Learn the registration of ships. 4) Explain the contract of affreightment. 5) Learn the concept of collusions. 6) Describe the concepts of salvage and grant. 7) Learn the concept of general average. 8) Explain the maritime insurance.

COURSE DEFINITION	Subjects regarding the Maritime Law, which is regulated under the forth book of the Commercial Code, such as ships, carriageof goods and passengers by sea, marine collisions will be explained in this lesson.
