1) Explain the relationships, sources, and characteristics of sports law with respect to other
areas of law.
2) Describe national and international regulations related to sports activities.
3) Explain national and international sports organizations and sports subjects.
4) Explain athlete, coach, and agent/intermediary contracts.
5) Describe dispute resolution mechanisms specific to sports law.
6) Explain regulations related to maintaining discipline in sports activities.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe objective of the course is to determine issues that are in the scope of legal provisions regarding to athletic activities.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Providing general information about the course, the concept of sports, the relationships of sports law with other branches of law, and its sources.
2nd Week Introduction to International Sports Organizations (IOC, FIFA, FIBA, TFF, etc.), Distinction between Amateur and Professional Sports, Introduction to Sports Law Subjects.
3rd Week Athlete Contracts, Professional Football Player Contracts, Parties, Rights and Obligations of the Parties, Termination.
4th Week Coach Contracts, Parties, Rights, and Obligations of the Parties, Termination.
5th Week Resolution of Monetary Disputes in Sports Law on a National and International Level (Court Jurisdiction, TFF Dispute Resolution Process, FIFA Dispute Resolution Process, and CAS Dispute Resolution Process).
6th Week Practical Study.
7th Week Midterm Exam.
8th Week National and International Disciplinary Proceedings in Sports.
9th Week Doping Process.
10th Week Case Study.
11th Week Examination of Law No. 7405 on Sports Clubs and Sports Federations.
12th Week Sports Agent/Intermediary Contracts.
13th Week Practical Study.
14th Week Final Exam.
