LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will be able to examine of social, politic, economic, religious, moral, philosophic factors which provide evolutions and developments underlying rules and institutions of law,
2) Will be able to comprehend law reforms which were done in the Republic period
3) Will be able to learn an additive for solving foundation, land and heritage law?s cases which are pendent at the present time with history of law knowledge.

COURSE DEFINITIONStudents of the faculty of law must know the essence of the law, the development and the characteristics of the institutions formed which come to this development. It is of great importance to know the legal development of Turks in this general atmosphere. Because the feature that is not seen in science in any other way is the foundation of law: the forms of understanding which come directly from history to the rules of law give manner. In this respect, it is possible to see the weaknesses of the Turkish law in today's world by knowing the history of Turkish law.

3rd Week Sources and Institutions of Turkish Law before Islamic Law/Geographical Situation of Turkish Regions and General Characteristics of Turkish States
4th Week Information about the Hun State and Law of this State in Mete?s Period/Gokturk State and their law
5th Week Uighurs and their law/Religions of Turks before Islam
6th Week Turkish Law and Islamic Law after Islam/Islamic Criminal Law/ Diyah (blood money), Hadd and Ta?zir
7th Week Islamic Private Law/Islamic Heritage Law/Foundation
8th Week Midterm Exam
9th Week The Public Law and Organization of the Ottoman Empire/The Central Organization of the State/Central Military Organization
10th Week The Dirlik (Grooming) System as a Foundation of the State Organization/Provincial Management Organization
