LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) defines the Roman law and understand its importance
2) learns to Roman political history and relations with legal institutions
3) sees the historical development of the concepts encountered in the course of law and compares the concepts of contemporary law with the concepts of Roman law.
4) observes the historical development of the law and attains competence in shaping and interpreting the rules for the future.

COURSE DEFINITIONDuring the cource, law of obligations, personal law, family law and property law of Roman Private Law and their related institutions will be studied and these subjects will be compared with contemporary law institutions.
