LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Apprehend the importance of the scientific research. 2) Choose a research subject, review the literature. 3) Evaluate the results. 4) Being informed about plagiarism and learning how to avoid it. 5) Prepare an article.

COURSE DEFINITION	The concept of broadcast ethics and the basic principles of ethics of publication, violations of the rules of publication ethics, legal regulations related to research and publication ethics in our country, research ethics boards, scientific thinking method, research types and data collection methods, in-text and footnote reference method, use of libraries, In this course, the subjects of injury from internet sources, formal structure of research report and language use in scientific text are covered.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week General information about the course and the evaluation methods. General view to the subject. 2nd Week Qualifications, kinds and the approaches of the scientific research. 3rd Week Ethics; plagiarism; research process. 4th Week Research problem, literature review, creating the hipotesis. 5th Week Aim of the research, importance, assumptions, definitions and sampling methods 6th Week Data gathering, measuring, analysis and deciphering the results 7th Week Reporting, sections of the article, physical structure, references, acknowledging the sources. 8th Week Midterm Exam 9th Week Evaluating the midterm, choosing articles. 10th Week Article presentation and discussion. 11th Week Article presentation and discussion. 12th Week Article presentation and discussion. 13th Week Article presentation and discussion. 14th Week Article presentation and discussion.
