The importance of sociological perspective and sociological thinking, the emergence of sociology, culture, social change, social control and crime, social movement, ethnicity, modernity and post-modernity, globalization, economy, politics, globalization, culture, religion, family, gender and patriarchy, education, media, social stratification and inequality are the main concepts and topics that are examined in this course.
