At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learns the language, the link between feelings, thoughts and language itself, and social value of the language and becomes aware of the status of Turkish among the other languages in the World. 2) Learns the features of written and verbal language and how to use language effectively. 3) Learns the term of ?communication? and create a text which is a tool of this term. 4) Learns the criteria which make a text and acquire the ability to make use of these criteria while forming a text. 5) Learns the rules of essay writing, the elements of essay planning , paragraph and the main idea. 6) Learn about the range of sentence and paragraph structure and its translations. They use application 7) Learns writting rules and punctuation, gains the ability to use them and grasps the phases of text formation. 8) Learns about the types and forms of expression, gain summarizing skills and learns about the features of informative texts. 9) Learns about the ways of developing and supporting ideas, applies active reading and text analysis methods.

COURSE DEFINITION
The Turkish Language curriculum aims to enable the student to use his/her mother tongue adequately and accurately; to make the student think about a subject in detail; to teach him/her to convey his/her thoughts in a rational, simple, original and effective way in written and oral form; to gain the ability to make use of various sources and to evaluate data; to give the student the habit of listening, criticising, thinking in a planned way, respecting thoughts and speaking in front of the public; to make the student understand the importance of listening and reading in being successful and gaining knowledge; to direct the student to be a good listener and reader.
