At the end of this course, the students; 1) Knows the importance of Turkish Art History. 2) Comprehends the role of art history in realizing the culture and the importance roots of Turkish Art. 3) Differentiates between the manner of particular characteristics of Turkish art according to periods. 4) Discusses about Hun Art, Gokturk Monument and Uyghur Art. 5) Analyzes the difference between the styles and stylized according to cultural characteristics of every period. 6) Analyzes the painting, sculpture and arthitectural characteristics of pre and post-Republican period.

COURSE DEFINITION
Art styles from Hun Art to Gokturk, Uyghur, Karahanlı, Gazneli, Great Seljuk, Anatolian Seljuk, Beylik and Ottoman period; the examples of architecture, sculpture and painting belonging to these periods are examined comparatively; starting from the Republican Period Art, today's Turkish art works and artists.
