COURSE DEFINITIONDefinition of folklore; rhythm and perception studies, play and folk dance-figurative works; local differences in folk dances, figurative works, local figurines, bar type local figure learning, halay and spoon type local figure learning, horon and welcome type local figure learning, zeybek type local figure learning; studies on learned games, their attitude and play styles; staging of folk dances, types of staging and differences.

1st Week Definition of Folklore
2nd Week Practice of rhythm and perception, using our limbs rhythmically
3rd Week Definition of play and Folk dance, why do we play? Figure work and hand-arm coordination
4th Week Recognition of Folk dance, Local Figure work and hand-arm coordination
5th Week Local differences and reasons of the differences Learning local figure
6th Week Categorization of Folk danceHalk. Learning bar type local figure.
7th Week Categorization of Folk dance. Learning halay and spoon type local figure.
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Categorization of Folk dance. Learning horon and return type local figure.
10th Week Categorization of Folk dance. Learning zeibek type local figure.
11th Week Practice about manner and way of gamboling the learnt folk dance.
12th Week Staging of folk dance- Types of staging and differences.
13th Week Practice
