At the end of this course, the students; 1) practised basic reading, writing, listening skills 2) Studied and grasped basic concepts and terminology in child development literature 3) Studied and grasped basic concepts of primary education and educational sciences 4) Analyzied sample dialogues between child-parent and teacher and will have noticed and practised using certain phrases within a context. 5) Practised academic listening skills by listening to certain academic talks/lectures etc (e.g. YouTube, TeacherTube, TEDx) 6) Practised their communicative skills necessary for their professional development and future career by noticing and using certain words/collocations and phrases within a given context. 7) Practised their writing skills (writing a petition, report, CV, short text/message, lesson goals etc) 8) Practised their reading skills by reading a variety of texts from the field of education.

Basic reading-writing-listening skills in English, basic concepts and stages of child development ; basic concepts related to primary and secondary education; basic concepts of educational sciences; examples of dialogues between student-parent-teacher; techniques for listening and understanding academic texts (e.g., YouTube, TeacherTube, TEDx); verbal skills for professional development (vocabulary, patterns, etc.); writing skills (writing a petition, preparing a report, creating a CV, writing a short message, setting up and writing course objectives etc.); reading skills (reading written texts using web 2.0 tools, etc.); translation studies in the field of related teaching profession.
