LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learning the definition and history of psychological counseling and guidance, its place and importance in education 2) To know the role and importance of the teacher in PDR services at every education level. 3) To be able to explain the purpose of educational, personal and vocational guidance services and the services to be performed in these areas. 4) Knowing effective interview skills. 5) Knowing what the individual recognition techniques are and how they are applied.

COURSE DEFINITION | The role of guidance and counseling services in schools, its purposes and principles; comprehensive developmental school counseling programs; responsive services of a comprehensive program; the role of teachers in school counseling programs; school counselor-teacher collaboration; helping skills; relations with parents and beyond the school community.
It is aimed that students have information about psychological counseling and guidance services in the education system and can apply the knowledge they have gained in their professional life. |
