LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will be able to learn the litarary theory and criticism,
2) Will be able to examine and analyse the texts,
3) Will be able to evaluate the texts in the way of structure, content, language and expression,
4) Will be able to analyse the texts' discourses,
5) Will be able to explain the relations between literature and sociology, psychology history, culture and achieve interdisciplinary studies.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe significant masterpieces of both the Turkish and World literature will be evaluated within the context of their effects on the human. The aim of the literacy masterpieces will be emphasized by considering the sensitives of the human nature.

1st Week The relationships between literature and human,mentality.
2nd Week The relationship between literature and society, individual. The relationship between literature and sociology,psychology.
3rd Week Characterization in literary Works. Adventure of society and individual in literature
4th Week The scene in literature. The relationship between scene and human in literature
5th Week A case of village and city in literature, urban scenes in literature
6th Week Literature and migration. Internal and external migration as reflected in literature
7th Week Time in literature. The relationship between time and human in literature
8th Week Midterm Exam
9th Week Woman in literature
10th Week Feminist discourse in literature
11th Week The relationship between literature and politics, ideology, history, religion
12th Week The relationship between literature and politics, ideology, history, religion
13th Week "12 Mart" and "12 Eylül" in our Turkish literature.
