COURSE DEFINITIONThe sources of Turkish and world's mythology, features and works. The comparison and evaluation of mythological works in respect of cultural and universal values.

4th Week Ancient Turkish Belief System and Shamanism
5th Week Totemism, Reflections of Totemism in Turkish mythology and various totems
6th Week Description and creation of Epic
7th Week Variation of Epic and classification of Turkish
8th Week Midterm exam
9th Week Turkish epic of creation, properties and analysis
10th Week Turkish epic of creation and other societies' epic of: Sümer, Akad, Mısır, Fenike, İran, Yunan, Cermen vb...
11th Week Differences and similarities between Turkish and foreign epics
