COURSE DEFINITIONBirth of novel, origins and general characteristics of novel, art and theories of novel, the methods of novel analysis, analyses on Works selected from Turkish and world novel.

1st Week Birth of novel, origins of novel.
2nd Week Fiction and reality, plot in the novel.
3rd Week Plot and persons in the novel, concepts associated with persons (flat and round person, character, type, norm character, stereotype etc.), the name of novel's person.
4th Week Time and place in the novel.
5th Week Time and place in the novel.
6th Week Point of view and narrator in the novel.General features of classic novel.
7th Week Midterm Exam
8th Week Modernist novel.
9th Week Modernist novel.
10th Week General fetures of post-modern novel.
11th Week Magic realism, metafiction.
12th Week Intertextuality.
13th Week Intertextuality.
