At the end of this course, the students; 1) recognize characteristic features of divan literature. 2) interpret texts comprise of poem and proses around divan literature tradition 3) employ prosody and literary arts on sample texts. 4) recognize characteristic features of 13., 14. ve 15. century divan literature. 5) write important names of 13., 14. ve 15. century divan literature.

COURSE DEFINITION
The period from the beginning of Divan literature to the end of 15th century is introduced. The art men such as
Ahmed Fakih, Dehhani, Aşık Paşa, Nesimi, Ahmedi, Kadı Burhaneddin are intoroduced as examples. Besides,
Şeyhi, Ahmed Paşa, Necati, Süleyman Çelebi ve Hamdullah Hamdi who are very important poets and writers of
Divan Literature and their works are investigated.
