At the end of this course, the students; 1) compare the past and current situation of Turkish as mother tongue, foreign language and second language. 2) asess approach, method and techniques used in Turkish education theoretically and applied. 3) offer solutions for current problems of Turkish education.

COURSE DEFINITION
The historical improvement of teaching Turkish, the principles of teaching Turkish, legal foundations, the methods of deduction, induction, synthesis, analyses, individual working, group working, discussion etc. being used in teaching Turkish are given in the system of student-centered language teaching.
