1) will be able to know the study subjects and principles of natural and natural sciences,

5) will be able to obtain general information about primary school science programs,
6) will be able to discuss the characteristics of science and scientific events in daily life

COURSE DEFINITIONScience and sciences, Development of science education, Basic concepts in science education, Meaning and definition of science, Purposes of science in primary education, Planning of effective science teaching, Principles of effective science teaching, Special teaching methods in science teaching (Problem-based learning, project-based learning , laboratory approaches, research-based learning, cooperative learning, etc.), Measurement and evaluation in science education, comparison of teacher and student-centered methods in science teaching, Examination of the new science and technology program, Use of tools and equipment in science learning and teaching, Sample activities in science teaching

1st Week Basic concepts of chemistry, matter and its properties, compounds and mixtures, motion in one dimension and two dimensions, acceleration, circular motion, laws of motion
2nd Week Planets and universe, temperature and heat, optics
3rd Week Sound, waves, electricity
4th Week Characteristics of science and its equivalents and usage in daily life
5th Week Subject and principles of natural/science sciences, basic concepts of science
6th Week The place of science among other sciences and its historical development
7th Week Midterm
8th Week Basic concepts of chemistry, matter and its properties, compounds and mixtures
9th Week Mole concept, chemical reactions
10th Week Solutions, acids and bases
11th Week Diversity of living things, microorganisms, fungi
12th Week Plants, animals, cells, tissues, organs
