LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explains main concepts related to Turkish History and Turkish Culture. 2) Expalins the concept of culture. 3) Recognizes the concept of religion. 4) Describes the concept of migration. 5) Explains the important points related to historical development of Turkish History and Culture 6) Recognizes the first homeland of Turks and their initial cultural centers. 7) Identifies migrations and their results. 8) Expresses main turning points of the Turkish History. 9) Explains important Turkish states. 10) Explains the interaction of Turkish History and Turkish Culture with peripheral cultures. 11) Explains the relation between Middle-Asia Turkish culture and other cultures in Asia. 12) Describes the effects of Islamic Religion on Turkish culture. 13) Explains the relation between Anatolian cultures and Turkish culture.

COURSE DEFINITION | Phases of Turkish culture history development, Turkish states form past to present and their societies' political
and social histories; Turks' Islam acceptance, their development phases in culture and civilization areas and
relationships among philosophy, science, literature, art and reconstruction activities. |
