LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explains Türkiye's geographical location (absolute and relative) and the consequences of this. 2) Explains the geologic and geomorphologic features of Türkiye. 3) Explains the climate characteristics of Türkiye. 4) Explains the relationship between Türkiye's climatological characteristics and hydrography, vegetation and soil characteristics. 5) Evaluates the effects of Türkiye's natural environment features on human life. 6) Explains Türkiye's human and economic geography features (agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry, mines and energy resources, industry, transportation, trade and tourism). 7) Evaluates the effects of Türkiye's population characteristics. 8) Discusses the problems and consequences of Türkiye's natural environment. 9) Evaluates Türkiye's geopolitical power resources. 10) Explains the geopolitical importance of Türkiye.

COURSE DEFINITION	Türkiye's location and position, Türkiye's geopolitical and geostrategic status and properties, mathematical location properties, special location characteristics, (neighbors), country groups characteristics (political, military, economic), cultural organizations), physical characteristics of Türkiye (climate, hydrographic features, soil structure, vegetation), socioeconomic characteristics (population, settlement, agriculture, forestry, livestock, energy, industry, transportation, tourism).
