COURSE DEFINITIONThe aim of the course is the examine of the culture and identity, the material culture and cultural heritage in the light of hellenistic architecture in Anatolia, and make the students to achieve and professional profeciency.

3rd Week The features of the culture, the relationship between culture and civilization
4th Week The agean world; the agean migrations and colonisation
5th Week Polis; Greek city-state
6th Week The basic and indicating building of a polis, Tempels of the different architectural orders
7th Week MIDTERM
8th Week The plan types of the tempels
9th Week The features of Hellenistic architecture
10th Week The architects in Hellinistic Period: Pytheos and his work
11th Week The architects in Hellinistic Period: Hermogenes and his work
12th Week The observation of the city plan of Pergamon
13th Week The observation of the city plan of Ephesos
14th Week The comparation of city plans Pergamon and Ephesos
